RECLAIMED FARM HOUSE
Chico sits at the base of Sierra Nevada and is surrounded by fertile farmland and historic farms. This home is a converted barn and is defined by the gambrel style roof that is prevalent in barn design. Complex grain and rustic milling patterns compliment historic patina to make this material a perfect accent for any home. This home has custom furniture made by Airehart Construction. Old beams and salvaged metal work adorn the interior elements of this home, note the hand-hewn square head nails. It even sports a miniature train set. Over the years, Airehart Construction has acquired a stockpile of rustic beams and old barnwood. Deseret Farms recently allowed Airehart Construction to deconstruct the historic Gianella Farm barn, a massive barn built in the 1860’s of locally milled old growth Douglas Fir.
