SWIMMING POOL DESIGN

Life is better by the pool. Airehart Construction’s design team produces pool plans that balance design with durability. Each pool plan is customized by meshing our client’s visions with the site and its features. The landscape, home architecture, and color palette are among the factors considered. Our design team works with our clients to develop several options of conceptual pool designs to select from, and then schematic designs are available for client review within days. As construction ensues, continuous client communication and updates ensure proper placement of planned building elements and allow the dialogue to be open as new ideas and additions emerge. The result is a pool that is compatible with the existing architecture of your home and outdoor living space, bringing joy and sanctuary to your family and company for decades to come.

SWIMMING POOL LAYOUT & EXCAVATION

After the permitting process is complete, the construction of your swimming pool begins with our team of construction professionals laying out the pool and chalking out the dimension on the build site. Upon client approval, the excavation begins. Once the swimming pool has the basic shape, it is contoured by hand with hand tools. Complex radius designs are formed using computer-designed pre-fabricated steel reinforcement bars. Technical wood formwork is also used to form the pool deck and aid the placement of the steel rebar.

SWIMMING POOL ELECTRICAL & PLUMBING

Airehart Construction then installs the complex plumbing system. The return lines, salt cell, filters, suction lines, pump, and other plumbing components are installed. At this time the electrical system is also installed. Components include the electrical supply line, sub panel, thermostat, and control system. Before continuing the construction, all plumbing lines and electrical components are carefully inspected and tested by certified professionals.

SWIMMING POOL GUNITE, MASONRY & STONE INSTALLATION

Once the forming and framing of your custom swimming pool is complete, Airehart Constructions pool builders will begin the application of Gunite. Gunite is a mixture of cement, sand, and water applied through a pressure hose, producing a dense hard layer of concrete. Once applied, masonry, blocks, natural stone, and other major pool elements are then installed.

SWIMMING POOL FINISHES

Plaster finishes are the traditional pool finish. They are a mixture of white cement and crushed marble and are troweled by hand to create a smooth finish. However, these finishes are not durable and have to be refinished every 10 years or so depending on water acidity and the environment. Another option is a tile finish, but this is limited to rectilinear pools and accent bands. Airehart Construction uses an aggregate finish called PebbleTec. This finish is tiny pebbles that are sprayed and adhere to the pool surface. They are then troweled and finished providing your pool with long-lasting durability and visual appeal. PebbleTec products are available in numerous styles, colors, and finishes.

SWIMMING POOL WALKWAYS, PATIOS, POOL ELEMENTS

Once the pool is complete, the concrete flatwork is formed, the reinforcement bar is set, and the surrounding walkways and pool deck are poured in concrete and finished.  Airehart Construction is well versed in concrete treatments, stamp work, troweled finishes, staining, and pigmentation to give architectural appeal. At this phase, pool slides, umbrellas, fountains, and other pool design elements will be added.

SWIMMING POOL COMPLETION:

After a final inspection with the building department, a final meeting with the client is scheduled to discuss the operations. Items discussed include programming, care, and maintenance. The pool is then filled, the control system is programmed, final adjustments are made, and then the pool is turned over for recreation.
