The challenge of the renovation is to implement the owner’s vision with the existing structure. Frequently, the work area must be brought to current building code, and undiscovered deficiencies in the structure must be addressed.

This renovation was built in the Mid-Century Modern architectural style, popularized during the United States’ post World War II period. Airehart Construction modernized this home by adding energy efficient windows, shake shingles, and a new roof to the exterior, all true to the Mid-Century tradition. The interior was dated, and the Mid-Century interior design benefited from the addition of composite slate-colored countertops, rectangular floor and backsplash tile.

Airehart Construction added the sleek frameless European stain grade Hard Maple wood cabinets complimenting the overhead beam work. The electrical fixtures selected by the Airehart design team complete one’s time travel back to the Golden Age of America.
